Weren't the borders widened to accomadate touch to move players? I remember posting that I had decided to try touch to move but couldn't use it because of difficulty changing maps. I remember compbatant replying saying he would change borders to fix that issue.

Comp said it was because of the phone "notches".

OK I remember that now. So now I am confused. Because touch is hard? I never experienced that and hated the joystick at firs because touch was better. Started using joystick because of pet control.

So now I am confused as to the real reason.

If you go to the settings menu you will see a "fullscreen (notch)" setting. I'm not sure what that does, but maybe it is involved?

If I recall correctly there were complaints about the touch to move new screen edge size. But it was not fixable back because of the new notch phones that being the reason not restored to prevoius size.
I'm guessing now but is it possible in order to meet the apple app store requirements this had to be adjusted to get game approved?

So good popcorn is fat-free a food...

Too much saltiness can be an issue though.
