maybe u should let him initiate the attack
He does initiate, every time. The problem is, when I retaliate, he pulls tricks. Most often, he will stop attacking, then attack again, the game notifies me "You are attacked by happy16".. I think he is deselecting me as target, and reselecting me, tricking the game into believing I am the aggressor. When I start winning, he logs out, and comes back again when regenerated, while I am grinding away.
When mentioned in my previous post, in the link above, I chased him away several times before I started killing him in frustration. His temporary goal I believe is to get me outlawed, while his ultimate goal is my gear and experience.
I am sharing this as it is not fair, I am not the only one he has targeted, and he is not the only player who pulls these tricks. I am trying to warn others. Be careful out there.
Yes i have seen this soooo many times with this guy haha he is one of those mardies who right before death untargets you and gets you the point counted for outlaw, instead i think we should have an untarget system where if you abuse it and target/untarget multiple times within a minute lets just say 3 times (3 strikes and you're out) gives you one outlaw point i surely believe this would make ppl more careful with targeting/untargeting and for logging in the midst of PvP well not sure abt that bcuz what abt the people who get attacked and log for safety? Can't punish them

I'm still pushing for 1- no untarget except by log off or death. and 2- outlaw point is given when attack is initiated (whether or not it leads to a kill) and 3- if initiated attack does lead to kill, outlaw immediately, not wait for 5 kills

@blitzcraig or someone who knows this for sure:
Is targeting and attacking meant to be the same, with the same consequences?
Because it happened to me, that I wanted to trade some char a free item, e.g. a HP potion or a robe, and accidentially tapped on the targeting button. Because I realized my fault, I untargeted immediately.
What if I don't realize my fault immediately and there ist some erratic attack - not leading to my fellow's death, of course?
If these actions are to be punished by increasing outlaw status or cannot be undone, I would recommend to put the PM bubble next to the trade button, so that all *friendly* actions are in the same lower row.
I would put the INFO button to the upper left place. Then, if available, the clan invitation button in the middle and on the upper right position the targeting button.
So the chance to target erratically will be reduced, so that blitzcraigs suggestions dont lead to unintended results.

you are totally correct.. in the thread with the whole idea, I even wrote it would have to be an actual attack, not just targeting because that happens by accident a lot
