If you have your quest journal open and a request comes to join a clan, closing your quest journal automatically puts you in clan. I like the msg idea. Here are some more. Put it in the players hands. Leave requesting to join a clan our job. Remove the invite option entirely! A person can broadcast a general msg of I wanna join a clan or pm someone with the same request. Solves all the bloody problems with a simple answer.
