Im going to say, its outright stupid. So guards are meant to punish outlaws. Apparently outlaw is a punishment given to pvp.
For a game that offers heavy pvp in clans thats fine. The game also offers heavy pvp for unclanned too. can only attack 3 lvls lower than you. Can attack anyone higher than you. This creates gank squads.
Now thats kinda been fixed with the whole "last 15" rule. People focus so much on punishing outlaws because "they are bad people". Apparently.
You might aswell strip pvp from all maps except clan map for everyone who isnt in a clan. since clan maps a free for all, and leave pvp on in the rest of the maps for those who are clanned.
Its gets to a point when punishing outlaws hits the "stupid" point. By that i mean focusing so much on making one tiny aspect of the game the majority of ones focus when the time could be better spent elsewhere.
The systems fine with whats done to outlaws. Theres guards at cities you cant attack with magic. Everyone seems to have to "normally attack them" which is annoying. But hey your an outlaw.
Seeing people saying "raise shop prices" or "increase drop rates" or whatever else has been suggested. Who honestly cares? Is it really that big of a deal? odds are some higher lvl. Or a small group of people will come along and kill them, since pvp restriction is removed from them.
Not saying this threads overkill. But continually seeing "punish outlaws" over and over... Really? Better things to put time into.
A bit of sarcasm here. How about this. Drop rate 100% for outlaw. Attacked by anyone, increase prices at shops by 100%. Reduce sell % of items by outlaw to 0%. Make guards always crit outlaws. Increase 100g and 200g city prices to 1m and 2m.
