really well said - - I do think the ultra-high levels should have appropriate gear... after more important stuff is done done first ;) (then work our way up systematically with gear... not creating a gap between 250 and 1000)

Its your right to state that the players who support the game with much money should get something in return
But since this is a game also and probably in the first place for usual players who buy maybe some lvls but not 500 or more it is already kinda unfair cuz the game is pretty much pay to win
Which is not greediness of creator ( as u said he derseve it for his work) but the problem is
There are people who can't pay 2000 euro or more for a game and i think those shouldn't be just left out
If the 1000 gear was implemented the gap between high lvls and non buyers is becoming even bigger ( which is almost impossible)
But as unit said ao nice the game needs something exciting for high lvls to keep them i would suggest high lvl gear but with not so high stats
Sure higher than the lvl 250 gear but not extremely high so the players have something new to look for but the gap is not growing between high and not high lvls

Just in the opinion of a lower level ' grinder', the higher level characters bought so many so they would be ' untouchable'. They knew there wasn't gear beyond 150 or so( at the time they bought their levels). Now the gear availability is growing. They just need to wait it out for when/if 1000 plus gear is implemented.

Im kinda disagreeing with the 1k plus gear. At least for mages. Idealy as the game stands (and mages will hate me for this) but capping the mage gear at present to 250 - 300 would be a bit more fair. While giving the rest of the classes 250 300 350 400 all the way to 1000 gear would help a bit.

Just my 2 cents.

Personally, I move around de-geared (except for my staff) xD. Not that I want to save my gear from any possible drops, I don't have any. Never have I felt the need for gear to help me PvP (before your mana is drained, the battle is decided) or PvM; so is the case with other 1k+ players (mages), but having them in game is fun, of course.

As the game stands, those who think that in absence of high level gears they have a tiny chance to murder their high level opponent, they are living in cloud cuckoo land, you don't have any chance, unless your opponent is suffering from the fever of dream-walking, or is AFK.

Just a thought!

that's a fine point with mages... gear really doesn't matter much anyway (I'm pushing to change that lol) - - but as you say, a level 200 has no chance against a 1500 regardless of gear

about widening the gap in general - it's like adding a floor or two to a sky-scraper. in the perspective of falling from one. does it really mater, if it's 100 or 101 floors, or even 150, when 3-5 is enough to kill you?

I think all levels need their respective gear, but in ascension order. high-levels do get the highest available gear first anyway - due to their power and wealth (in-game).

about capping gear for mages - that would be a point of frustration for many players. but as a mean of adding balance - until classes are better balanced the new gear for mages can be either laid of, or added in smaller increments with later re-purpose: 260, 270, 280 etc. will become in time 300, 350, 400 etc. with respective stats - smaller when lower, raised when re-purposed. just for players to strive for something and to be happy about when items come out.

Well if the stats go up just like they do from gear 100 to 150 200 250 ... I think it would make a difference.
And even for the case It wouldnt as you said it wouldnt do much/nothing then why u want to add the gear anyway if its useless
If u wanna say because they need something to reach for then why not make some new really rare and most importantly cool looking items that only give a lil better stats than normal gear but showing that u managed it to get one.

Those dont even need a lvl to wear since only really high lvl lucky ppl get them
