no not origonaly rpg is when we act and play ie *josh tied up tanbow* and then he would not move *josh draged tanbow with him* and he would follow and so on .tho this soon became lame and not much in use in europe so we started using rpg to mean when we role play in a set way and follow the path chosem my developers 
originaly especially in free sim roaming games everyone made em up as we went along ....
