LostKnight wrote: Tue Nov 27, 2018 2:54 pm To be honest I look no further than FT. :D

However when I see a dwarf attacking 8 at a time and mages 20 or 30, or archers and mages attacking from behind walls, I sometimes wonder, "Why am I a blade carrying character?"
It builds character?
Yea, character, this is true..

In one way, like the ogre who is much stronger, we are the only ones who fight "1-on-1-in-your-face"!
And the ogre has "Twister attack - very time enemy hits him the enemy loses 2% of his life", and
of all the characters that can "reduce enemies life", we "character building blades" are the only one that damage ourselves using it.

Yea, builds character.
Then again, you're lost and I've sold my sword, so I don't know if we're even qualified as blade carrying characters either... ;)
That's right, I'm Lost, but I did not loose or sell my sword and I'll lend you one if you want.

{sigh} no one has found my brother, FindKnight, either{sigh}, I know he's out there someplace looking for me! Well, that is if he escaped from the Dungon's of The Hole, but once he does, he will come looking! I think ... maybe ... possibly ... perhaps ... perchance ... {sigh} OH! I don't know!

↑↑↑ That a nice way of saying I talk to much? ↑↑↑

I have noticed that past few days that giving stuff away is still very difficult, people just do not want to "trade". And this is with newer levels. So I'm thinking they must be alts of older players that know there are scammers about...

... OR

:? scammers looking for new victims  :o

There was one little guy(4) though that was so very thankful, he was Indonesian and apologized for his perfectly understandable English, when I gave him stuff to sell. He was "Thank you very much. What can I do for you?"
"Well, you can take this." --> trade box

Code: Select all

250,000
He was => :o "WOW! Thank you!!!"
YUP, made for a good moment.

Then there was another player(2) struggling at Kedington, I gave him some stuff and found out he was Spanish, so tried getting him to do Kulgan's Quest at Map 0.0. He tried, as I watched, but told me it was in English and he didn't understand. :( Him I left with 500,000. I was sure it had been translated.

I knew it!

And on another note, while coming home from the bank I passed by the Kedington Restaurant. Outside was a waiter, feather quill in hand writing some thing on his parchment.¹ I paused to read something on his apron² and stated laughing. He only spoke FTlandia and had no idea what it said, so he asked me and I told him.

Code: Select all

      HOME
   is where I
  can look UGLY
  and enjoy it!
Good chuckle that! AND so true too!

:D Well, some readers have stopped reading, some posters have stopped posting. Bored with my ramblings I guess.

On a bright note, I ran across an old friend yesterday LIZARDKING! Hi LK¹ - great chatting with you.

I call him LK¹ because he was here first, which makes me LK².¹

What's to get bored with? It's random, so you shake it up and never know what you're going to get!

It is a colorful thread! If you hail from Canada or England and like those extra vowels it can also be colourful! ;)
