Sometimes I wish that there were no technology. 40 years ago it was quiet, there was more silence. Now there isn't. I can't go anywhere and just hear nothing, just listen to nature; the wind in the trees. The birds chirping, the stream quietly making its way through the wood. I really miss that. I can't go there and not h3ar the rush of cars and traffick in the air. Silince and solitude are very precious...and they have been stolen from my life.
If you hurt nature you hurt yourself

Look up the song and lyrics to "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel (later covered by Disturbed)
When you reach the line "and the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made", picture a handful of teenagers in a dark room, holding their cell phones.

Days without Email: 6

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at pop3.fibertel.com.ar.
If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:
Try again later.
Check your network connection.
If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

RE: the three other things I can do in reverse order:
3. - I'm here Firefox has permission to access the web
2. - I'm here, my network connection is working JUST FINE
- - although Fibertel "minkeys" have suggested the problem is one of the two above.
1. - Doing that every 90 seconds.
- - I have a linux program configured to check my email every 90 seconds and just report the number of new emails. Been using that for maybe ±12 years now. Yesterday I added a line to the end of it:
Code: Select all
${font Fira Mono:size=9}${pre_exec conkyDaysDiff 20190919} days no mail${font}
