As I understand it, going through the logs in FT is quite a headache, not as simple as hitting ctrl+f. Think about it, everything you do (log in, chat, friend/clan requests, attacks, being attacked, changing maps, buying, selling, etc. etc. etc.), now multiply that by the number of players in FT on any given day, 24 hours a day etc... I come up with some big numbers just guessing at it. Its not simple at all.
Plus, we only have 2 admins at the moment, so that's a lot of work... I can understand why they're not too keen on looking at logs of (probably) foul mouthed players.
So my advice to any permanent muted character looking for unmute is this:
Pretend you're unmuted already. Go for a full month with clean chat. THEN approach the GMs, stating you've cleaned up your chat and think you deserve an unmute. A clean chat log can only strengthen your argument for unmuting.
P.S. asking an admin for an unmute, and them finding your chat logs still dirty, will make them less likely to be willing to check your logs again.. so take my advice and clean up BEFORE you ask for unmute.
