However, I would argue, IMO many, many items are very difficult to get, especially for the average player; unless, you can invest in many levels, have many hours to play, and even, a good stroke of luck, you're pretty much SOL.
We have many players here from many countries, and many of them cannot do these things. Typically, they are young, and have school. This limits their ability to purchase (not old enough for credit cards, and google play cards are not available in every country), and limits also their play time (real life obligations always get in the way lol). I could also point out the difference in various countries' economies.
So adding such a feature would not be fair to all IMO, unless, more ways are added to get basic gear. I've always thought 1/1000 chances seemed low, and at times, frustrating.
Also, as Ryaca states, there would likely be many, many complaints of such a feature. As a GM, I dread that too.
Anyway, it is a good idea overall, but, should not be implemented lightly.
I completely agree.

I've never really cared for these systems much myself.
Sure, they're "realistic", but FT is a world of magic, dragons, demons, time travel etc.
Realism is not required.
Sure, maybe apply it to tools, but no weapons or armour, please.
I'd prefer repair to completely repair weapons and armour and tools. No degradation at all as long as one pays the gold.
P.S. I played Parallel Kingdom until last November. 4 years. It was possible to repair gear faster using a resin that required harvesting plants and mixing it with other stuff. Why not use herbs (as they are found now) and some potion such as green mixture?

I never meant to go this far down this particular rabbit hole lol.... I'd be surprised if this was ever truly considered, and frankly, I'd be angry if it was discussed before more pressing issues lol - anyway, thanks for playing along

Gear degradation isn't important. Back burner stuff.
Higher speed Tools in shops would be nice. JS.

I have noticed this as well, and have been gossiping about it with the other GMs.
