Rule #9 was referred to earlier in this thread, and seems imo to be the most relevant to the report. Blocking and all that MAY sometimes be allowed FOR A SHORT TIME, in the context of a clan war if done IN A TACTICAL WAY [rewording and emphasis obviously mine] - if this happens every day, all the time, by the same players, I'd argue that they are in violation of this rule..... kind of -

allow me to explain - when originally written, this rule was talking about blocking in the sense of physically placing characters in such a way as to close off access to a particular location (like standing 2 wide on a bridge) - it was not referring to PvP killing somebody as they try to gain access to that location. Now despite the original intent of the rule, my opinion is that it should be applied a bit more broadly (I don't know if GMs have made a decision on that or not, or if they've ever discussed it... obviously I'm WAY out of the loop on such things)

Which leaves us with maybe they're wrong, and maybe not - just like your original post basically said lol

HOWEVER - here's the big thing that stood out to me, and seems to have gotten buried -

You claim that white arch (whom I've also had a good relationship with, so no bias and I hope no hard feeling here) has been using the safe zone around his personal house to gain an unfair advantage in PvP - after writing this I'm going to look over the rules again, and will add an EDIT at the end of the post if necessary, but to my knowledge, there's never been a specific ruling on this issue except that doing the same thing with any other age zone is considered a rule violation... I'm certain it's worth the GM team at least discussing if they have not already done so.

upon reviewing rules, two things stand out to me

First, the GMs have clearly added abusing safe zone of a private house to the rules, so that would be a concern in this situation imo

Second, this behavior is likely considered camping more than actual blocking, though both rules seem to be treated the same anyway, so it's not a particularly helpful distinguishment apart from confirming it's worth looking at :p

Happy to jump in - you know I like to TRY to help clarify rules when I can - sorry I'm not more help on this one, but hopefully it helped a bit lol

I did have one more thought on it -

if spawning monsters to kill other players is in violation of rules, perhaps spawning them to block should also be? please note that I'm NOT saying this is occurring here... they may just be mass spawning for XP /drops or whatever - I'm making no accusations... it's just that I ran into something similar before with a different player who was blocking access to a doorway with spawns... he was max spawning for XP, but whenever I tried to get to the portal, he'd stop killing them so I had to work my way through them, while they were respawning right behind whatever I killed (I gave up the first time, made it through eventually the second day)... anyway, seemed like misusing the game mechanics to me at the time, and this is kinda similar sounding

i have encountered this on devils island before trying to go down the stairs that lead to the floating balls and back to kraken island

also the altar under blitzbee island
