As an avid cyclist, I live by the motto, the right of way goes to the biggest vehicle.

Agreeing to disagree is always a nice option.

When younger a car pulled out from a blind corner and I hit it with my bike going flying over the hood in the process. That would have been good advice to have then...
It's actually become a funny story years later. My older brother and I came up with an incredibly lopsided and rigged race against my two younger brothers. We go around the block twice on bike versus once on foot for them. Easy, right?
Well, as I was sitting on the sidewalk holding my banged up knee and crying my younger brother catches up. I told him to go get mom and the little twerp went running past saying he was going to win!

The Tortoise and the Hare with a twist ...
Germany, '81, on a 12 speed Peugeot touring bike, I was going flat out headed to work. A car passed me and made a right hand turn right in front of me. How I made that 90° corner I'll never know. Had I hit her car I doubt I'd me here today.
But, I made that corner and followed her to her parking lot and gave her a proper dressing down when she stopped. I was a Sargent, she was a Corporal, from the look I was getting I think she was sure she was going to jail. In the end I made her promise to be more aware of "bikes", be they pedal or motor, in the future, I owned a motorcycle as well so I was, and still am, very aware that motorists seem to have a 'blind spot' when it comes to bikes, just like little brothers and sore knees.

At some point in my 1300-range of levels, I got the song "In the year 2525" stuck in my head, and my "level goals changed". Everyone goes for that "XX00". I decided I was going for the XYXY - so 1414 became my goal.
Well, 1414 came and went ... almost unnoticed!
But 1515 was recorded.
