I feel that if you're character is standing idle while your pets "level you" to be blunt that by itself does not confirm AFK.
The game mechanics at this time encourage that play in my opinion considering the ability of the pets to far outpace the character in damage.
As an archer, my ability to kill the monsters my pets face are almost inconsequential. I more often then not am firing at a creature that is already dead...it is also very unsatisfactory to be sooooo far behind my own pets in the ability to kill.
If I was doing damage equal to my pets then I most certainly would want to get my character involved.
That's the real problem -
the game mechanics. To change this type of play you would have to properly balance the pet/character damage ratio.
In every level of character advancement that I can think of, there is always a pet that can be purchased that far surpasses my own damage.
I do 6K DMG while my pets are doing 100K+...I do feel like pulling out a lawn chair, sitting it down in the dungeon and just marveling at the ability of my trained minions to decimate the waves of monsters before me. Of course, after awhile I might get sleepy.....Roughouse, this is a GM, I'm talking to you...huh?

Some times i play at night and run to crying babyusualy for 5 mins somtimes more and from my point of view its a good idea id hate to be jaild just because i ran to make baby stop cring..
So if somthing will auto kick me off server will be good less chance for somone killing me for equipment or being jailed big like!

Baby cries - log off, go tend to baby.

EDIT - maybe I'm simply misunderstanding, because I cannot reproduce it that way (which is good)
I remember those days. That regeneration bracelet (the original one) was invaluable back then and players could regenerate whilst under attk.
Thankfully, no - that tactic / game mechanic remains firmly confined to the past.

blackthorne, yes, sadly the game does essentially encourage you to sit around and watch your pets get you levels... anybody who knows me can imagine how irritating that is to me lol... but still, it is a separate issue, and no excuse to be afk grinding
cashew, you talk about looking at messages and stuff while tanking for your pets... that is a perfect example of a reason to have a 5minute (or similar) logout timer -- a GM cannot know what actions you might be performing without going through game logs, where as the game itself would recognize that you are, indeed, performing an action and would thereby keep you logged in... admittedly, this may encourage auto clicker/bot play where instead of attacking, it'd continuously be doing "under the radar" type actions - but that falls under a different rule, is easier to find, and has a much harsher punishment anyway lol

That's all I'm saying. Give us a 5 minute timer not something like 20 seconds that's just crazy for a tap and wait game. As it was just said, the MECHANICS of the game are forcing people's hands on method of play. And yeah auto clickers and bits will become more rampant with any system implimented to combat them.
If you want our fingers to be constantly touching the device to prove were not AFK, then change the mechanics to reflect this. No more tap and wait just solely interactive.
As for the recovering hp whilst tanking, yeah it still happens even in pvp. If you're standing still and not entered into combat your hp regen rate remains the same as if you were just normally standing there. Discovered this at spideys forever ago when my health dropped much slower when I wasn't attacking vs fighting back.
Btw I love how people are blindly following the exact rule of afk however account sharing is the most rampant and unfair advantage especially at higher levels yet even when given hard evidence (screehshot confession) of such a rule break the GM's hand out no punishment.
If you go away for 30 seconds to get a drink they pounce all over you for it... seems legit. Just buy enough levels and you're immune to rules. That or use a few friends to help you circumvent the AFK rule, apparently that's OK now too. But don't you dare answer that text it's against the rules to do so.

I hear A LOT of justifications and excuses for bad behavior in a few players posts.

Being a father of 3, and a grandfather of 1, I can absolutely understand. But babies cry for many reasons - most of which are just normal things because a baby cannot talk yet. You have plenty of time to logoff when a baby wants to be fed.
If the baby gets hurt, then I would certainly understand running without logging - or doing anything else except going directly to the baby. If it is a medical emergency, most likely your character will remain AFK until it dies, jailed, or the server restarts. If it is not a medical emergency, return to log off, and continue to comfort the baby.
