But yes, a lot of sleep is also on my to-do list.
That's the centre of one of my monitor wallpapers cropped and reduced in size a bit. Been waiting for 1 Nov to put it up for you, knowing the hard hours and work you've been putting in for the Halloween events.

Kinda figured this would be a good representation of you today.

Found Hobbs Gold Mine - CLOSED and barely made it off that map with my life!

Not very hospitable that Mr. Hobbs!

Made it to lvl 109 killing cyclops (Red Monstors) one at a time.

On another area there were three high (xxx) characters with ranged pets (mages and fairies) raking in the cyclops, six pets in the same area, like crazy. What an easy way to level up, must have been getting 1 a second.

Someone wanna lend me a couple of level 2,000,000 pet mages or faries please ... hahahahahahahaha
I don't think I'm even at a level to get a pet above the gollum (sp) at the pet store, found in Map -1.-1 (I think that's the map - my device is dead - battery drained ... DUH!!!)

I'm curious about the "Shop" pets; do they follow the same idea as 9. In-game buying ยป 9.1. Pets where the "Shop" pet is 50% of your strength? Or are those "Shop" pets a fixed strength?

Mine always die, so I rarely have one now. Getting use to not having them, so sad the extra space is nice.

The shop pets state the level needed to buy them, in the shops.
I think the best ones for gold are on map -1.-1. The others you can find (quest related) are usually weak.
For example, the Golden "Boss" Dragon in shop for gold, requires a level of 360.
You should note, the same pet, from the item, is ranked level 345... so you need to be level 690.
It just so happens, a new post was made recently, giving info on the item pets if you like.
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=14695

Which also links to the origirnal (very great and much appreciated) pet list made by a player
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13837

Note that some things may have changed since that original list was published (like the level of the pet I just mentioned)... but there is a lot of good info in that thread, including, strategies on what pets to use.

Since the purchased pets are now activated through an item, it is quite possible to trade for them with other players.
The prices can be steep, but maybe a friend will cut you a deal.
Keep in mind though, pets do die... and some players are just plain jerks.
Pets are ultimately the responsibility of the owner; so if you get good ones, make sure you keep an eye on them.

Yup, I know the "Shop" pets state a level - lowest being lvl30 - but are they connected to your strength as the purchased pets are - no higher than 50% of your strength.

For example the gollum - lvl40 I think.

Are they identical if a user at lvl 40 buys one and another users at lvl 85 buys one as well? Or are they "strength" related to the two users?

Yea quest one can be an OOPS! I payed 150,000 go get the archer out of a room in the centre of a map ... twice. I forgot that this guys has a mind of his own and goes wondering off trying to kill thing - whipped or not. Promised myself never again. Until today I forgot about the first experience. The guy was dead before I left the map.

So I went back inside, listened to his spiel again and when he said "But it will cost you 150,000 for my services." I hit X and mumbled something about "suffer!" as I left. :D

Well, I will never "trade" for one ... the "Shop" pets will be what I use - IF I use any. That's why I was asking if their strength is related to a persons level as well. I've seen the list (image) but everything talks about the $$ pets not the "Shop" pets.

Thanks for your reply and the first link you posted ... had not see those before, but then, they are only a day old. :D

Seems like a week has gone by since yesterdays post.

The support from the people in this thread, and maybe some not posting here but read it anyway, is still mind boggling. And I will say again very much appreciated!

I remember levelling up yesterday and one other user, archer(151) approached where I was hunting cyclops. Now at my level I have to hunt them one at a time if I'm alone but I watched this archer and started sharing one for him one for me but got the feeling he wasn't 100% comfortable and after a while he left.

Later that night the TANK showed up, you know GOLGREN, ate a tank when he was younger and has been army green ever since, and levelling up immediately became easier. And didn''t the Archer(151) show up, soon we were both picking off cyclops (Red Monsters). And along comes a third person some [clan name here]name(lvl close to 300) and she was stealing all the red monsters, GOLGREN was tanking for us. Archer and I weren't getting anything so GOLGREN ate her! Man it's something to watch him in action. I remember another time a {clan}member got too close, SMACK - empty space! Anyway to continue, I pulled three levels last night and another two today. Haven't seen my new archer friend today but [clan name here]name(lvl close to 300) showed up when I was alone. Took one look at me and moved to another area to hunt.

Also yesterday, in a post just up a few from this one, I mentioned pets and would some kind person please lend me a lvl 2m pet. As most readers from the beginning here know I do not own/have a credit card, haven't had one in well over 30 years and believe me, life works well without one. However this game requires a credit card for some "extras" and today I received two "extras" - two pets! They were in my backpack without me even realizing it had happened. Have not activated them, but I have been researching them and reading up on pet strategy. I'm thinking maybe waiting until I'm 150ish - maybe not going to rush it - I don't want to regret my choice - or at least make the best choice I possible can. Hmmmm maybe I'll wait for 2525! That's lvl 2525 not the year - although they might come at the same rate :D

Seems every time I get a dog or a Shop pet they die as I explore new worlds (maps), Like Hobb's Gold mine map ... made of off that map by the skin of my teeth. I mean have you ever seen skin on a tooth, me neither, that's how close it was! So pets are coming soon(ish)!

And thanks to the kind generosity of some members here, I have all lvl 100 equipment, the lvl 140 legs and what wasn't donated for lvl 150 I bought. Left me darn near broke - well 18m at this level is almost like being broke. The equipment is safely tucked away in the bank. They don't rob banks in FT World do they? So I'm good to beyond lvl 150 for now. And twice someone tried to sell me an Amulet of Gold for 30m. Sorry just didn't have it. HOWEVER, another kind person donated one. I do so love the good people in this game, far out weighs the bad negative types.

OH yea, I died today! I was messaging an old friend (almost from the time I joined), I remember helping him in the early days of my game and when finished I had a very short red lifeline. An outlaw, I have his name ... or close enough. Didn't loose anything. So a change in strategy - msgs - short and to the point! Virtual keyboard takes up so much space can't see anything.

Used my Mithril Pick-axe today to help a friend mine some stuff and when he crafted what he wanted I became the lucky recipient of the successful craft - Mithril Fishing Rod - that's x3 folks ... so we went mining for carbon. Gave him everything I could carry and I bought a dog just for that! My slowest tool now is the Axe, I can fell trees at x2 :D
Anyway I got some coin for that act today as well, so I think tomorrow it will be a good day to dedicate to helping lower level users. I fished a lvl 20 wand today with the new rod .... you have NO IDEA how long it took to give that away. Finally some mage(9) was the lucky guy that accepted it.

Maybe it's my blue spandex ninja suit that scares people off? Don't know, but I'll keep on trying.

Oh there's another thing from yesterday, a low level archer had no boots but had pretty much everything else ... so I took him to Bank Town and said, "Wait here." Found a crock and dragged it over, "Go ahead, kill it ...." He couldn't make a dent in it ... so I killed it and went hunting, by the time I had boots I had a couple of shields for him as well. Another happy customer!

As Porky Pig would say: Th-th-th-th-thats All Folks ...t-t-t-time to log in ....

Very tactical, this pet buying malarkey. It's all about damage, dex (definitely) and attack frequency. I'll check pet list and see what'll work for you.

Edit: if you can wait till 150 then go for Blitzbees, definitely.

@ NightBaby

Fishing ... boring? naaa ... impossible!

Fishing is a time to relax. Chew on a piece of straw and think of ways to get your neighbours to whitewash the fence.

Fishing is a time for deep thought like "Life, the Universe and Everything."

Fishing is a time for fleeting moments of "Why do we get hangnails?"

Fishing is .... well ... boring ... so yea, you're right!

Maybe some night, after all your name is NightBaby, we can go hunting some new monsters or try and break the magic that prohibits my journey back to my time.

If that doesn't strike your fancy we could always go and try fly fishing, that's fun! Practice where to drop that fly, it's an art! IF, that is, you don't get it caught in the branches of a tree behind you. I loose more flies that way! {sigh}

All of the above boils down to, "Hi, nice to meet you and thank you for the offer"

@ Leone ...

'tis why I am taking a moment of reflection and contemplating hangna{scratch that}... which pet would be best ... and the thought of waiting for Blitzbees has been one of the things I'm thinking about

Decisions decisions life is so full of decisions ... time to go fishing and ponder the choices of ... zzzz zzzzz zzzzz zzzz
{I am NOT afk, I am pondering!}

Say I wonder if that would work.
