Yes, I wrote the original 9b), for cases just like this, and others as well.
The rule allows us to give strict punishment on repeat offenses.

Hey - I tried my hardest.
I asked for help on the forum.
I asked for help on the mmo group.
The result is what you see, now in multiple languages too - thank you translators, we needed that.

Will they ever be perfect? Maybe not.
But IMO, they're the best they've ever been, and I'm proud of them - those that contributed, should be too.

This was the first instance of convicted harassment. That's a one week jail.
What's the first punishment for afk grinding? Hmmm?
We make you read the rules before release. A warning, that's it.

The way these rules scale on repeated violations is also much different.
Repeated violations of 9b) are far worse.

In my opinion. Even first time convicted it's still isn't a small thing. So what u are saying is if someone is harasses anyone they get 1 week jail. Even if it's a big harassment like this one? That just DOESN'T sound right. Now I'm just thinking out loud. Let's say ur busy with some real life issues or FT issues. It doesn't mean you get to ignore the one that reported this harassment to you with several screenshots. And had to wait days then someone reports to madmikael and the players gets jailed FINALLY but only for a week... Should be a month in my opinion. Even first time harassing someone. It's still a big deal. Sorry if I'm offending anyone but that's just what is in my mind.

Based on the evidence available to me, I could not jail for longer in this case.
It is quite possible to get longer sentences on first offences.
If there is enough evidence, months of jail, permanent jail, and even banning completely are possible.
Just a note to everyone - not everything you believe to be true, necessarily is true.
As GMs, we have to go on what we know.
The thing is - you're not privy to all the evidence.
I don't think I am either. But I do know by your statements, I'm aware of some facts you are not.

A week for what he did is not enough IMO but maybe on day that punishments will be more balanced

Like I said, I did what I could.
As for punishments - they are always a heated debate.
Some GMs vote strictly, Some vote leniency.
Rarely ever is it unanimous - but it does happen.
Ultimately, we try to keep in mind - every player has the potential to learn from their mistakes.
Should we just perm jail for every single offence, of every rule?
No, I don't think so.
So, first punishment is meant to give you time to think in most cases.
After that, it starts to hit hard.

At least we all agree on the same.
Rules like this are needed.
Players who do this should be punished.
If we all work together - maybe, one day, it will be better.
I can say, things are better than they were at one time.
I hope, we can accomplish these things together, and still have fun in the process.
I did not enjoy this experience much at all, and for several reasons.
The saddest part is, I'm not even allowed to say - you will likely never know.
Just know, I did what I could from my end.

a small note here: it seems as though NightBaby is using the word "ignorance" to mean "ignoring something by not directing any attention to it" or something similar... if I'm correct then she (you) may be unintentionally aggressive and offensive here... just to be clear, "ignorance" is generally used as an insult to mean "stupid" (even though technically, and more properly it just means a "lack of knowledge or understanding") - not having ignored something

No need to get snotty with me, I was trying to help calm the situation that got created by misusing the word... there is no definition of "ignorance" which is connected in any way which would ever be understood as related to the word "ignore"... there is possibly a (weak) case to argue it the other who around, but not the way you used it. At any rate, the message you typed was indeed insulting, I was assuming you didn't mean it that way, and was trying to help you out...
