Frequency 1000 = 1 attack per second
Frequency 2000 = 1 attack every 2 seconds
Frequency 4000 = 1 attack every 4 seconds
Frequency 500 = 1 attack every half a second

The frequency of attack is important when choosing pets. Look at the spectre wizard on the list: 8000 damage is fantastic. 1 attack every 5 seconds is poor though.

The animation of the monster/pet may look different - for example it may look like the monster/pet is attacking thin air after it has killed something. This is a graphics glitch though.

I see, thank you Leone :)

Something has been bothering me lately: the Boss Dragon.

Pet list says you can buy them with real money at level 706

BUT you can purchase them from the Mage Shop at level 360.

Something strange here. What the true story?

That is the true story.
There are pets you can get in game for quests, or for gold, that you can also acquire with the actual pet item purchase.
The levels indicated should be correct - the purchased version requires a higher level than the other options.
I know it sounds strange, but that's the way it is.

And they are the same pet?

If so WHY would anyone "buy" ($$$) one?

Just saying!

its realy historical.
the pets at the magic shops (and dog at dogtrainer)were the only pets available for several years.
you couldnt buy pets and lvling to reach a lvl where you could get the boss dragonwas a major long term (several year) goal.
It was the first pet (and last) which would almost double your xp earning and allow you to lvl much faster.
(the bat was realy the first to be realy useful as anything else then storage.)

i do agree that the $purchase lvl is far to high sincemuch better pets become available at lower lvls.

but boss dragon from magic shop is still the only "usefull "grinding pet" available for gold. we need more and better ones for those who cant afford to use realy money a lot.

WOW Thank you for this, rearrow. A little FT history. Really nice.

I'm looking forward to getting a couple of the Boss Dragons. And hoping to keep them as long as possible.

I remember seeing MadMagus with them and decided right there: I want a pair of those!

you can only have 1magic shop pet and it has to be the first pet.
so you can:
get magic shop boss dragon and dog second.
or get magic shop boss dragon and $buy a second pet other then dog.

this is something else i would like to have changed.

one of the most frustating but also the greatest thing of ft is that it is changing so much and so fast. it drives some of crazy, makes us angry but it forces us to keep changing and thinking of new ways to play, new tactics to try, etc.
ft aint boring

im very exited about the next update, the sneak peaks we have had look so intriging.

This has changed - if and only if you own a personal house.
Buy one from the shop, store it in your house; go buy another.
It's completely legitimate to do so in this way.
