IMHO: PvP should not be forced on people that do not want it.
And this go buy PvP Protection isn't an answer! There are people that cannot purchase items.

Maybe there should be an "Engage in PvP" item!
- That you are forced to renew every week or become an outlaw if you let it lapse and can't quest or grind until renewed.

In my eyes this game has not gotten softer. Its because we are all gone older :)

I see PvPs every day. And thats allways the same peoples.

Different gamestyles is one of the reason.
The other is surely that nothing can be dropped any longer.
The most important reason is THE PLAYERS ARE ALL HIGH LEVELS NOW, and noone is easy to kill now.

I remember the past there where players 12k - 16k who dropped 2k items from me because they can hit me with some hits and i am dead.
Now there are high players vs. hogh players and noone will loose a PvP in a fast way.
Thats the main reason: PLAYERS ARE ALL TO HIGH LEVEL now !

That means newer younger players do not want to kill other player. Or, there is alot more non pvp players walking around. Personally I always felt that open pvp hurt this game.

For instance: ) a brand new player begins playing and leveling, having fun. And then an Ogre named Bluto starts beating new player to death. Not fun for new player.
I say dump open pvp. Get rid of 3 level rule so pvp never happens to a new player ever again. UNLESS THEY WANT THAT. Create a forum for players that want to pvp so they can set up pvp matches.

Well, that's my 2 cents. Hope it helps, somehow.

the purpose of my suggestion go in the completly wrong way, i wanted to make pvp harder not softer...instead ppl complain about it being to hard, holy, if u reached certain lvl like 2,3k full recolor set, all you lose is some xp and thats it, well the purpose was actually for clan maps, bcs on clan map killing someone makes no sense bcs they are back in 20 secs..do there need some punishments if you die on clan map

Buy a one time item that opens pvp for life.
Decide after that you don't like pvp, buy item to block pvp for life. Simple. Or it should be. Bingo!
