I thought something like I proposed might be a better option for the underground village. There are quests there about the villagers being attacked and monsters appearing anyhow, so it could be fit with the "story" a bit easier. I might change some locations and the actual spawn numbers when I have a moment.
But testing would be fine. Maybe announce a test attack and see how it goes.

Ok.
Let's try test giant ( With a small number of giant), try your option, try ghost, let's try ALL.
As you say do test attacks.
Combatant make pubblic post with date, hours and map of the attack.
We advertise the event with friends, on groups or in map 0.0 so that the news is spread.
U big big player send a Pm to compbatant for this our idea?

I'm not going to get involved with trying to balance the spawns and locations, but i do have 1 suggestion:
Activate these new event ideas on test server first. With mobile client allowing test server access, that would be an excellent location for players to be able to try the new events without chances of permanent lost pets or gear (due to unscrupulous pvpers).
Once the spawns are ironed out as acceptable, the events could be run on main server.

Sorry it took so long. I just enabled these spawn on test server. First is every full hour. Second every half past full hour. Be on map before event starts before if you will be late the event will not start.

The duration of attack would be 10 minutes of active spawning.
This would be towards the top right side of the Ardesia map, north of the city walls. There is a rock in that area that would be roughly in the middle of the spawning area.
Four different enemy types included in the attack. Totals of each would be:
Ice gremlins (bottom left of the attack area) = 720
Elder trappers (top left of the attack area) = 360
Cave giants (bottom right of the attack area) = 270
Thug archers (top right of the attack area) = 420
I enabled this event too. It is executed every full hour on test server. I am waiting for your feedback.

The Ardesia attack was... wow! I had lots of fun running around playing with the mega spawn.
Weaker mobs (ice gremlins) are on the left side so I made sure to stay toward that side so I could get an easier escape.

For the event inside HGM I admit to running around in circles and purposefully letting many mobs spawn. It made for a neat screenshot, but not totally realistic how it would turn out if you just stood there.
For any spawn event with archers that will become difficult quickly as more of them will continue to spawn. Different from melee mobs that surround you, but if you're surrounded already they stop rushing you.

The event with just cave giants is rather difficult for me to test. My character is a level 1200+ swordsman and I already know that cave giants are difficult. Taking on maybe 2-3 at a time is already about as much as I can do, so getting surrounded while they continue to spawn is a guaranteed quick death.
