Started on a 2.75" by 2.75" screen haha.
But it's not the size of the screen, it's how you use it ;)
...or something like that.
Had a full keyboard though (a REAL keyboard, not this virtual garbage).

I have a ton of old pics, and fond memories.
And some not-so-fond ones too... so many pics of cuss words smh...
I'll try and go through them some more.. as some have some famous or infamous accounts in them... back when they still had training wheels
...I may need to edit out the chat though...

The ones resembling very thin and tall frogs were robes IMO

I think they are Earth Robes from the blood mummies dungeon. 'Running robes' was (and still is to a certain extent) an excellent means of gaining gold fast back then.

Just the other day I asked DaHobbit if characters I created 4+ years ago could still be used if I could remember names and passwords. He said they would, so I set to trying to remember long-lost information and actually succeeded! No email addresses registered to either of them, so it was plenty of trial and error alongside "no user with that name, really?" moments... Hurray, two mediocre characters in the 40s for levels. (I took a break for a few years and started new a number of months ago.)

My old mage awoke from his (no option for a her anyhow back then, I believe) coma in the archer field. I recall that was the hot place to be back then and GMs would hang out there too with their level 5,000 (I think) characters. I walked back to 0, 0 (no boots, of course, as that would be lucky) and came across a few quests that must not have existed back then. I escorted the princess for the heck of it alongside a level 2 guy doing the same and got back to the main hangout. Realized I didn't even have a fishing pole and am not sure they even existed back then. All the while my new character is doing the digital equivalent of rolling his eyes at his dad or something...

I did take such a lengthy break that details of way back then are a bit fuzzy, but I do remember enough to be amazed at the development. Next time someone calls me a noob I'll just smile to myself. (Ok, I do that anyhow as it's an overused insult and just means "I can't think any harder.) Hey, if I used characters today that were created in the early days it technically counts as having characters around for a few years!

fun to read, welcome back... much has changed for sure

(oh, and GMs were 1500 back then, because that level was so high it made them invincible lol)
