The new trade system.
I had to play with this new mechanic a little... It's mostly good.
It really gave me some fun at start map.
There was a level 4 spam selling (or trying to

)
He even tried to do it to an alt of one who has GM powers hehehe
That alt was just asking him nicely to stop.
Once that alt left, I wasn't so nice....
Yes, I was heckling this wannabe spam seller quite a bit.
This only increased his sales to me, which I really didn't mind now that they're an envelope.
No surprise popup.
So I just laughed at him longer and harder, and told him some funny things.
"Now you have to earn you gold, instead of stealing it"
"You'd make gold faster killing skellies"
"[player] is a wannabe spam seller"
"[player] is really a bad joke"
Stuff like that.
He never said a word; I'm not entirely sure if he understood what I was saying (although, I'm inclined to think he did), he knew I was talking about him at least.
After a while, I think he gave up.
Oh, I'm so going to have fun with this....

OH YEA! But not for long, the word will spread like wild fire and spam sellers with fine something else to do.
Like they have at Banktown. Just as you approach the bank, because of the new higher population on that map, someone slides right up beside you as touch click on the bank.
BANG!
Code: Select all
Sell hero (name here) ... and your bag pops up!
Annoying.
Banktown has become a dangerous place lately with the addition of the lighthouse.
Mean time, after another two more tries ... back to chopping trees!

Well, the idea of checking your intended target in a transaction is not new.
You should ALWAYS verify who you're selling to, ESPECIALLY if you're doing a less than normal price (especially FREE!!)
Ask Dave... was it in this thread? He mentioned he accidentally gave away some high level gear trying to transfer to his alt...
When it's between 2 agreeable accounts, easy enough to move to a clear spot...
But, sometimes not possible, like when your target is a bank...
Just get in the habit of always double checking.
Note: due to my past, I've long been considered as a "trustworthy" person to ask to help transfer items to an alt
(I remember only having one device too)
...so, I really have to make sure I give the stuff to the right guy, as this usually happens on busy maps, like start map...
A good trick to know:
if multiple "things you can click on" are in one spot, you can click the "unit" again to cycle through targets...
so if multiple players are close together, click directly on the player to cycle targets

@ MadMagus
Me trust you to transfer something.
NEVER,has the though occurred to me that you would be untrustworthy. And I believe you have performed that action a couple of times for me.
I've transferred things between accounts for friends as well including gold, but that's because they know and trust me.
Didn't know about the "cycle targets" thing though ... must test that out someday.
Just get in the habit of always double checking.
Not quite but "very" close to being a habit.
Like now I move around using the joystick almost exclusively thanks to "PPCC" which eliminated the "OPPS! Just bought an 8 gold blade for 2m gold"

From 225 to 227 last night!
After what seems like forever and a million trips to the mith mine, killing three or four red monsters going in and out the off time and loosing 5 shop pets if not more. I know it was an odd number as a dog made it out once and it's weaker than the troll. That was due to a system OOPS! as I saw another player heading to the entrance with his pets at the same time. He had worms, why he was parking those I have no idea, they kill reds a 6-pack at a time. Anyway, his choice.
A few days back I started to make a Mith set, the pick and axe were attempt #1 and #2 then days passed and no rod. Asked MadMagus if he wanted to go for a walk last night and we we went mith mining. Was nice chatting it up with an old(ish), for me since I was new in game, friend. When we got back I went home and tried ... FAIL. Went to MadM's pond.
MadM: "What are you trying you make?"
Me: Rod
BANG - Up pops an envelope - MadM sold me the Rod - NICE PRICE TOO! Thank you MadM
So after days of not grinding but with a number of reds under my belt, I was close to 126 so I went to Map 3.3 and killed some Crazed Lions. Yes, Mad, I checked none of them were your family. Then a thought hit me, "Vlads" place 'usually' empty about now... ran down - NOT A SOUL!
Picked my favourite spot and finished off 226 and stuck around all the way to 227!
Had one guy come by, parked his staff stans right under mine then he went to the river to fish. HUH! WT! Stopped the spawn and went fishing right beside him, after about 30 seconds he blinked out. That's when I continued.
This morning, for about 45 minutes before my wife woke up, I went after Crazed Lions for a bit.
I sit at: 11528k/100050k

Hehe glad I could help.
Love reading your stories, and it's a shame you had to run off so quickly...
You really should proofread and edit.
You lost a lot of levels in your story
Meh, the game has it's good days and bad.
Weekends are terrible, as everyone is on, which means you can expect to see the worst of the worst.
But really, it can happen any day, at any time.
Sometimes, I wonder, if there's any other MMO out there that can offer a similar experience.
Although, many look prettier, and some may seem to play better, the thing is, they don't seem to have the same nice people found here.
Most seem to be filled with the horrible ones.
That's been my experience anyway.
Well, maybe one day, that perfect MMO will come along.
Maybe it will be FT in a future update, or maybe it will be something else.
I'm sure, someone out there may figure out what I'm talking about one day.
