. Well, confession time folks. I bought levels. Sneer and hiss and boo, go ahead. I get it.
I started SteelShot with the intention of not buying any levels. So far I am successful. Began her a few days ago. 4 or 5 perhaps. Steel is now level 55 and going strong. At level 9 Steel did first three parts of library quest. Got help from CD getting the book from Vampires. Rest was easy.
Level 18 went to yellow archers until level 30. Went fast. Then to library until level 50. 51 52 53 54 and now 55. Got set up for Blue Vlads. Start there tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Oh, I love my coffee strong and sweet with milk. How do you like yours?

Hope you don't mind... I added a spoiler to the screenshot, to help the page load faster.
(how to do this is detailed in General Information; also tells how to add pics too)

Although, I'm happy you're supporting the game, I'd have advised to try and hold off until around level 100 for buying levels...
But, it's your money, and anything that helps keep the game going is great with me.
...maybe I'm confused though.. you said you bought levels, then you describe how you leveled up...
ah well... that just means we get to chat more ;)

EDIT: ah I see now... nevermind ;) I'm actually happy that you came along, and became a friend to LK. This is what makes FT so great. Pardon my confusion; was a long day; it's 4am now for me haha.

Coffee: strong, black, with sugar :D

Thanks Mikael. Duh, did not know about spoiler thing. My first time using a forum, and writing on one. I should start my own. Same time zone you and I. I forgot to mention the three books you get for monk, took me from level 9 to level 18. I like FT a lot!

Fun game, great players - no shame in buying levels, it has become a normal part of FT - keep enjoying it, plenty more ahead of you :D

I think, that this is a point where two stories intersect, so naturally, I have to reference ;)
Tarlin wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2018 9:38 pm Really enjoy reading the adventures of LostKnight. He was actually the first player in game that I met that helped to introduce me to the world of FT and get me hooked on it. Beings that I am still very young in this world (level 10) I think I might actual create a short stories post much in the same fashion to catalogue my adventures through the game. I used to really enjoy fantasy creative writing and doing short stories, so would be great to start this again.

My current life situation limits a lot of the things that I can do now, most of my adventures are relived through photographs that I have and things I had aspired to do. So being able to live tales full of adventure this way would definitely fill a hole in my life. Thanks for the inspiration LK and also thank you for your hospitality and welcoming attitude towards new players.

Interesting day yesterday. Elgur needs a Blue Heater Shield (150) but can't hunt for it as he's houseless and they would kill his Staff Stans so I spent most of yesterday (08:00 - 15:30) hunting them one at a time. Yup found a way to do that, so I wouldn't die. Took my exp from 57578k to 96173k/102650k when three other moved into the area and 'almost' did me in with a swarm. Since we didn't speak a common language, I left.

OK, put the Twins to bed as I had to get another "Steel Plate" to the guy in the "Snow Came" (Quest Book in Game) which is really the "Frost Cave" "sign in front of it) and died trying. Saw DAVE_m was in there so sent a /msg asking if he could "tank" for me. That did the trick and I got a level out of it. Thanks Dave!

So I said to myself "Self, mithril time again.!" Got a Shop Spider and a Dog and went to Silverwood. No sooner walked in and BANG, dog dies in a swarm, as a guy was running out the door, another guy "just" got his Spider and Dog out because the swarm was focused me and my Spider. GRRR!

Mined the mith and went home and tried for a Mith Pick, succeeded in failing. Bought another dog and was on my way back. "POP" a /msg "Can you make me another 75 plate", spent the last hours online succeeding at failing. Met a young(34) Russian in the mine "Help plse make 75" - obviously for quest. Friended him and kept on going until bed time.

Woke up this morning, still in the mine, what a damp, dusty, cold, humid place to sleep. So I grabbed my pick and finished filling my bag and pets. Working out warmed me up! Went to blacksmith and crafted: 26 Ingots and 4 Iron ore left over.

BANG! .. BANG! .. two 75 plates. Guess the trick was sleeping in the mine. Sent out two /msgs - hope the Russian gut understands or get my "I have 75 armor for you" translated.

Started back to the Mith mine, but underground I logged out for breakfast and a 3 block walk, 6 for return trip, with my wife. First time out since she fell, just battered and bruised folks no need to worry.

And here I am!
Memory playing tricks on me, this morning or last night, who cares, I gave Tarlin a rod+2 and an axe+2 and he'll get the Mith Pickaxe when I get it, then I'll work on a Mith Rod and a Mith Axe for him. Of course he will have to trade for the Tools+2. :)

Yup, doing what I can. Levelling coming slowly. No rush. I'm averaging one a day and still need some 250 gear I think.

Yea, skill points coming up nicely. Fun with Succeeding by Failing!

Eat your heart out Sheldon Cooper - Flags indeed!! :D

Three days and I am still at level 232. Every where I went yesterday and my hunting spots with The Twins were busy except on so I started hunting Freya in hope of a) levelling and b) getting a shield for a friend. Didn't take log a two others moved in close enough to create large spawns that would kill the twins. Obviously I left.

So I decided to mine for Mith, and did that most of yesterday, looking for 2 more to complete a set. Can't remember how many times I walked back and forth from The Rock to the mine. Considering that every trip yields up to 14 ingots it's only one attempt for three trips and a second attempt on the fourth. Succeeded at failing all day!

Then late last night GOLGREN shows up when I was at The Rock! Scares the beejees outta me with the roar while I was transferring stuff to a friend and I always end up talking in a squeak. Then he had the nerve to pee on my left boot. Now the way I look at it I wasn't clubbed to death, so that must be a "Badge of Distinction", I've been marked. GOLGREN being the great conversationalist he Is utters "WHERE WE GOING?". Great, crazed lions and off we went. Nice to spend some time with an old friend. After a while when he had 9 of them surrounding him, I am getting some nice level points, and he had to go, clan stuff ya know. So I headed south east to a rock I know where I can spawn the lions for a one-on-one that I always win. Went from 50/103 to 89/103 when two others moved in the the area creating spawns I can't handle. GRRRRR!

So I ducked out and since I had enough ingots in The Rock that I'd I get my bag filled and I can try one more attempt, so back to the mith mine. Got the bag half full and we went to bed.

So another morning of waking in a dark, damp dungeon. Finished filling my bag this morning and though why not, it will take a little while but there are a few places in the red monster dungeon where where a one-on-one fight is guaranteed, or a two-on-one. I can survive both.

I'm currently in the one-or-two-on-one spot and have just had some visitors thinking they could kill be by creating a large spawn. Surprise of surprises when they all vanished but the one I was fighting. All because I wouldn't (can't) sell him a pet for 500m and will not sell 'my' Mith Rod for 1m. So now there are just walking back an fourth keeping me busy, I don't even have to move. Cool just enough time between passes to gain my health back and fight again.

BTW: 233 and 425k/103950k at this typing. May as well stay where I am as at this time of day, the other spots are usually very busy. Besides I have breakfast coming up soon and will have to leave - or log-out. Meany time the dual tasking part come to an end. Tablet on the desk, and keyboard about to be pushed in as this is the end of this post @ 233 9095k/103950k
