PvP Event Coming Up

Monitor this thread to find the date and time. It will be announced in this thread. First, I want to get everything ready. To do that, I need your help. I do not do a lot of PvP so you guys can offer more help with your experience. I will lay out my plan, and will alter the plan based upon your input. Once we have the details worked out, I will set the date.
1. Event will be in the Colosseum. All fights will take place in the top middle stadium. Only current fighting group will be allowed in the stadium. Everyone else will help watch to ensure no cheating takes place.
2. I normally do not allow outlaws, but since this will be a PvP event, I just might allow it. What are your thoughts?
3. With backpacks and pets, players do not all have the same carrying capacity. I do not know how to control or put restrictions on this, so maybe we will allow players to "bring what you got."
4. Groups will be made based upon level regardless of class. We don't want 100 different groups, so maybe levels below 30, 31-50, 51-75, 76-100, 101-150, 151-200, etc. What are you opinions/suggestions?
5. No logging in/out once event starts. No entering or leaving the stadium. No interfering with the current fighting group. Any cheating and you will be made to leave the event and will forfeit any rewards you may have otherwise earned.
6. Fighting will continue until the last player standing. If Admins are willing, we will check the logs to check close finishes - especially if we reward multiple places.
7. ?
We will edit this until we are satisfied with the rules and event details. We will then set the date.

sounds really fun, here's my input
1> sounds good
2> I normally didn't allow outlaws either, but I think here it would be ok
3> yes, "bring what you've got"
4> good, but I'd take gear into account on where to break... for example, <30, 30-49, 50-74, 75-99, 100-149 etc
5> sounds right... even add that if you accidentally disconnect, that must disqualify you from prizes and you are not allowed to reenter and fight
6> yes, if they're willing... make sure winners were not given items by other players etc
hope I can make this one for sure

Not sure mods could monitor or enforce this one, especially if loads of people attend.
Also, mages could use the heal spell and it would put them at a huge advantage.

If there are many player heal spell not really help. He can target all the players to fix it but in this case he cant attack.

Thank you Blitz.
As for pots, it will be "bring what you got." (yes, I know that is improper grammar) If you want to come with 75 throwing knives, that's your choice. If you want to come with mana pots, health pots, etc, that's also your choice. I don't think there is an effective way to restrict the amount of items since some people will have backpacks, some will not, some will have pets, some will not. So the only solution I can think of is bring what you have.
As for the groupings, I guess we will have to wait and see how many people show up. I would rather not have 2 or 3 players fighting per group. So if we limit the groups to a small range of levels, which would actually make the fight more fair, it could take a very long time to finish the event. If I am a level 200, and I have to sit through 2-3 hours of small groups fighting, I may just leave instead of waiting around. The fights will not be one on one since many will enter with friends. They will most likely team up against other friends (sort of like a dodge ball game).
However, I do think in the lower levels, there should be more groups because a level 20 vs a level 70 is a huge difference where the level 20 would not stand much of a chance. A level 220 vs a level 270 also has a difference but one that could be overcome with stat placement, equipment, pots, and good tactics.
Keep the input coming

Yes, of course. This event will be open to all levels from 0 to the highest level in the game. The very high levels may not have much fun since there will not be many in that class.
I believe some players PvP against other players much higher than themselves, so I am wondering if we should not limit lower levels from entering a higher bracket should they feel brave enough? If a level 150 wants to join the 200-250 group, would there be a reason to not allow it?

Mm sounds good event. But also you must put 100% chance to drop a random item (exept undropable) if u die. So exept winner(s) reward(s). You get other item(s) from killed player(s).
Groups. Must be like (lowest lvl that can pvp i dont remember what)-10,11-20,21-30,31-40,41-50. When these groups (lets name it group A) end. So groups B start: 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81-90, 91-100.then group C
.etc.. But. Cuz there not many high lvls. (Like 4000+. I think gm can check all lvls.and (for example lv 500) after lv 500. If there arent many 501-510.sowe can change lvl limit like. 501-800 or 1501-2000,2001-5000. .. Cant think more now. Also if you think 10-10 groups lvls will be many groups.so u can make it 20-20 lvls.like 51-70 or more idk.. ←Just some ideas. Sure they might not be fair but i gave some ways and ideas.
