I'm sure everyone knows about using a seige as a shield for mages with green spell only....but I found a bug with that....if a mage slows u and u use an unfreeze and try run ur seige is still slowed and if the mage keeps attacking ur seige it kills u not ur seige....this happened to me and I was whole way on opposite side of enemy and he was attacking my seige and I died

I dont think its a glitch, but you can call it a pvp trick.

Do you know any ballista that can drink antifreeze potion ^^¿?

Being able to kill someone out of range doesn't sound like a trick, it sounds like bug abuse and this issue should be fixed.

Yea idc that the balista doesn't speed up after unfreeze...but the fact that they cqn kill u by attacking ur balista is a bug in my opinion....even if ur on the opposite side of the map as the attacker they can still kill u

That isn't a bug, if some mage attacks you and you don't move, you regen always that the wand isn't hitting you . if you move, you are walking, so no regen, that no need to be fixed , you choice batista like a shield and it has got consequences , no only positives

So the negative is he can be away from player and there just attacking siege and can kill him. No that's a bug and needs to be fixed. If you are out of range attacking siege should only destroy siege not effect player HP.

Agreed. If you want to kill a player, you should have to catch them. Killing by remote should be considered a bug.

I'm reposting my thoughts from another thread here, as they pertain to this actual bug.

Now there's a thought. There's another current post that discusses whether or not pets should be kept in the game. Rather than have them removed completely, how about changing the damage rating of particular monsters? Immunity from pets and only players can inflict damage.
While we are on the topic of pets, why not make sieges immune to damage from players. They are currently the only pets attackable in ft, yet the damage to them harms the player rather than the siege. Abuse of this mechanic is rampant. I could see allowing them to be targeted on a clan map and damaged themselves, but damaging a player that is clear across a map? That is bug abuse.
While, I agree, that this doesn't make much sense, it could be argued either way.
It would make more sense, that sieges were destroyed if attacked. But, as pets, I would assume they are quite fragile, and would be destroyed easily; this would make them almost useless.
However, increasing their durability would likely not be a good alternative either.

Now, attacking a siege to damage the player; well, I will quote the infamous "players are responsible for their own pets" thing; if you're sieging, you should be there near your engines. However, I suspect that this bug abuse is more when not in a siege context. In these cases, yes, I would say it is an abuse; like for instance, you're grinding, and your pets are parked, and someone kills you without even being near you. I would say, that this feature/bug of attacking siege weapons should only be in effect either 1) on clan maps only, or 2) when sieges are attacking; however, there are issues with both suggestions.

If it's to be said like that then what mage do you know that can kill someone by attacking an object half a map away? the fact that only a mage can do it in the first place pretty much places it in the imperfection/Bug category. Who needs a trick when pvp is about skill it's not a magic show..
