RANKINGS

Make rankings ( richest player, highest level player, most pvp winner, most monsters killed, clan influence...)

I've thought about this in the past.
But, I will have to disagree with the idea, unless there is an addition made.
Some players, prefer not to have their information known, like, how much gold they actually have.
If this were made to be an optional feature, not mandatory, where a player can sign their account up for it, I would support the idea.
It would possibly create, a little more competition in the game, and a little more fun.

I'm going to have to disagree because there has not been a high scores (ranking) already, giving no chance to for any new players to earn a spot near the top because the current elite would "lock" the top slots instantly.

Not only this but the game can be completely PtW, resulting in anybody having a high rank just be slandered as having bought their way to the top. Even if you've never paid a single cent towards the game, people will simply not care and throw you into the "oh he just bought lvls lol" group and not really care.

If there had been some sort of ranking system in place since the beginning, or if everyone was wiped, or if there was a level limit, or better yet if the rankings were entirely based on something everyone could potentialy do early on and have equal chance at like trades, which can't be bought and anyone can do.

But if ya do that then you'd have to seperate by the classes because of the affinity, wouldn't be fair to compare an archer to a troll at fishing... so yeah I don't know.

This game really hasn't been designed to make use of a ranking system. There is no level limit, skills (I hate calling em trades) really don't have a huge part in the game. Yes a small amount but nothing like they could be.

The only was I can see some sort of ranking system work is to make it seasonal and it'd have to be tasks instead of just going by level. Like how many hand crafted items... caught rare fish... stuff like that


Edit: actually the seasonal rankings seems fine to me. Base it on stuff in said like before, but to expand it could include player kills, total seige damage done, anything of the sort. I'd agree if they were seasonal so the top spots culdnt be instantly locked as soon as they came out.

Yeah that's cool maybe restart rankings every week so winner of the week earns something...
