I noticed some monsters have skills such as spell resist, damage resist, and even skill immunity. I have a new one you could try. Spell strike. Damage done by the monster would be calculated like and treated as spell damage, subject to resistance and dex just like magic damage in pvp. Right now, magic resist on gear only plays a part in pvp, but this could change...

I've thought about this myself, and I agree. The dwarf's first skill is useful in pvp against mages, but it is worthless in every other situation. It would be nice if spell resistance from gear, and from the dwarf skill, could actually affect the amount of damage a player takes from a spell cast by a mob such as a Blinking Mage, or a Warlock. It would be much easier to grind spectre mages if I didn't have to take 8k damage per hit, every 5 seconds. I'm glad someone brought this up.

Actually, I was referring to putting this on new monsters. Altering the old ones would cause mass confusion. Many would complain if old monsters suddenly changed how much damage they did.

i really like the idea, and would even think it's good to apply to some of the old monsters (especially things that make sense like the magic damage example above)
