Absurd

The fact that players are selling 2k gear for 4 billion gold or 10 levels for one piece is absurd. The fact that 2k gear is not yet obtainable except through other players is also absurd. The fact that fishing was changed months ago without a solution being put into place to offset the disruption of higher level items being taken away is also absurd. The fact that there are many players that are over level 2,000 that are unable to obtain level 2k gear is definitely absurd. Here is a definition of the term absurd for those who don't know it:
ab·surd
əbˈsərd,əbˈzərd/Submit
adjective
wildly unreasonable, illogical, or inappropriate.
"the allegations are patently absurd"
synonyms: preposterous, ridiculous, ludicrous, farcical, laughable, risible, idiotic, stupid, foolish, silly, inane, imbecilic, insane, harebrained, cockamamie; More
arousing amusement or derision; ridiculous.
"gym shorts and knee socks looked absurd on such a tall girl"

Good clarification of the word. All that were at and above 2k pre update have definitely benefited, as they probably have many in storage. I'm sure low % could be placed on items. Like any drop on game. Maybe like 1k gear at 0.004 and 2k at 0.002 or 1 or at least anything would be nice.

totally agree Ryaca
as well that from 750 to 1500 only weapons
as well that i cannot craft items of my level after 750
as well that trade affinity limits skill increase
too many all together in my opinion, considering the possibility to buy thousands levels
i don t like to complain, but ... at least fishing ...

I agree with ALL points above my post.
Of course, there is only one thing.
The only person who can change this situation, is in fact,
compbatant.
The only other possibility is, if there was a spawn party, and the admins gave the ok for a limited (specified) number of drops.
The issue with that is, no current GM wants to do a spawn party under the current system.
Too many "complainers", "cheaters", and "complainers about cheaters"... which totally ruins any fun to be had by the GM giving the party, as they have to stop spawning to deal with this (work comes before play).
"Bad apples spoil the bunch".
As for parties, most GMs that have expressed any interest, are waiting for
Hobb's spawn map to be released.
Of course, that needs
compbatant...

A GM organises an event for a specified date and time. Loads of players turn up at the map in question and for an hour or so, the GM creates hordes of monsters for the assembled players to kill. The players also get the drops associated with these monsters.
There are variations to this, but this is the basic idea.

ok, i understand this, but how matches with the subject?
i know Mad is fed up of complaints, but here nobody is complaining, just reporting the way it is, partecipation , suggestions, ideas and so on are usually encouraged;
if he means we should write to combpatant, we will

, no problem
thanks for clarifications, Leone

The complaints are more to do with the spawn parties. Here are some of the most common. Bear in mind that GMs are volunteers and spawn parties fall outside the remit of normal duties.
1. Spawn parties are usually open to all lvls and so it tends to be the high lvl players (particularly mages) who receive the xp and drops from the spawned monsters. Other players do not like this and complain.
2. As there are so many players and monsters on screen, the lag can be bad. GMs advise players to zoom in to reduce lag but not everyone does. The players then complain about lag and actually add to the lag by doing so.
3. GMs state rules in advance: no pets, no outlaws, no pvp and no bad language. Some players ignore these rules and are teleported by GMs to another map as punishment. They return and complain.
4. Some players cotton onto the fact that the GM is standing still for an hour and bombard them with all types of requests, despite being asked not to. This means the GM can't devote their time to the spawn party.
There are probably more of these that I've forgotten. Hope this gives you an idea though!
