Was glad when I recently visited google play store and saw this message on FT app:
New maps and items (will be enabled soon on server).

i tried also today, removed from beta program, uninstalled app, waited, downloaded, but looks the same
anyone knows the version number of the update ?

I don't believe that there is an a new downloadable update released yet. It just says that there will be new maps and items soon.
