I have ore but i do not know how to smith ive clicked o the blacksmith but nothing comes up do i need to do his quest of killing 20 orcs first?

You have to finish the blacksmith's quests before you can craft with him.
Similarly, you have to do quests for the witch to the west of him before you can craft with her.
Also note, you can only craft gear that is of your account level or lower.
You can also craft at various clan buildings (if you're in a clan), or at a personal house if you've purchased one.
