Yes, that is a tough building lesson, most all of us have been there. Redesign or remove the tower and start again.

I'm guessing that the wall was there before the tower was. When the tower was placed, it slightly overlapped the wall's space, blocking you from placing a new wall. As Khmer said, most all of us have been there, and it's never pleasant.
