Password Reset

I realize this is a dumb question, but do you need to enter the CURRENT password before entering the NEW password? I ask because I have no clue what my current password is (why I want to change it) and I'm switching to a new device. Obviously, I can use the Forgot Password option, but why wait a few days for the reset email if I can avoid it?

Yes, the change password option in the settings menu requires the current password (otherwise, anyone could change your password if they just knew your login). Even the command line variation (if it still works) requires the old password.
Typically, the email reset option works right away - although, sometimes it goes to a spam folder.
I get mine immediately.
If you're having a delay, it's something you need to talk to your email supplier about; perhaps, they have some sort of filter or something.
Keep in mind, you can reset a single account, or all accounts listed on an email (as described in the FAQ).
But your only option sounds to be to use the reset... or you could try contacting an admin about it... but that's a long shot anyway.

Thanks. The FAQ never mentioned that you need to know the password before you can change it. This is important info to get included in the next FAQ update

Humble M. There may be a way for you to get your password back if you are using a rooted device. Pm if you want more info.

No worries. Once I get the new device, I'll just use the Forgot Password function. I can wait a short time for the email. Besides, I only have 1 account (and 1 player).
