Mikael's assistant

I've been given the quest 'Go get the inspection report from Mikael' s assistant...'. When I visit him outside a certain hole in the ground (deliberately vague-ish there), there is no ? above him.
Any ideas folks?

Glad I could help, it also took me a little while to realize I had to actually go inside
