Another fine example of why I'm not overly fond of certain aspects of youtube or the internet.
Need an "unsee things" ability.

I honestly stopped watching mindless television over a decade ago.
I do watch things occasionally, but these are hand selected after researching.

I got fed up with the inane babble that passes for entertainment.... and commercials...
I do not do the "watch youtube" for hours at a time either - the modern day equivalent of flipping through cable or satellite channels back in the day (which were horrible, as you paid for entertainment that was 67% infomercials). Hours can easily slip by, and the amount of actual entertainment that you've received can vary.

If I use youtube, I'm looking for a how-to, or watching music most likely.
I occasionally watch movies or good series, but that's about it - and I don't go to theatres any more.

Honestly, I find video games much more fulfilling - they're interactive, and can work with different parts of your brain.
Some are social too - like MMOs.
Really only watch things when I'm not feeling well.

Ah see, now this I can appreciate - even though, not all of it appeals to me, I appreciate your choices.
Really seems to contradict what you were talking about with the original post (which I googled to find a video).
I still have a small dvd collection - sadly, lost hundreds when I was homeless for a while.
But, material things are inconsequential. I made it through, and that's what matters.
Although I'm not overly fond of documentaries, I do appreciate them, and I will watch one on occasion.
I just take my entertainment seriously ;)
