Click on your treasure chest ... put one or both in your house. Now you can have 3, 4, 5, ... pets

Ok. I just tested this new update. My findings:
They only store in houses, not banks.
If you have 2 pets active, the game returns any other "entity" items to house storage. This means you cannot have extra pets active, or "entities" in backpack to try and trade.

Conclusion: no bugs yet (other than pets already in house not retrievable, since button not present), and no (known) potential for abuse.

I rather like the new system.

The issue with irretrievable pets stored in houses before update should be fixed soon.
For those of you with an issue like this, I offer 3 options:
1. Wait for it to be fixed.
2. Opt out of the beta, reinstall the regular release of FT (v6.5.1)
3. Contact a GM on the matter, and one of us could log your account with the stable version to extract the pets (this may not be a fast method though).

It's a temporary inconvenience.
Beta programs are nice in that they allow you to see and use unreleased upcoming features, but they are in fact a test version, and will have bugs from time to time. If you're not the patient type, then I don't suggest you enter into beta programs, as tempting as it may be to get said features sooner. There can always be bugs.

Overall this sounds like a good update. I'm looking forward to being able to swap out "grinding pets" with "cheap storage pets" if prudent to do so (not everyone has four digits in their levels). Allowing pet storage outside of houses would be a major change.
