nope, secret passage to Ardesia City. But which one is decided by which direction you took on an earlier quest.

There definitely are safer places to mine, but oh, the quests....

If you don't have access to those shortcuts I'd suggest walking around Ardesia and seeing who or what might be on the other end of those secret tunnels.
