AFK bug?

I am under the impression that players get kicked after 5 minutes afk, but I also see players reporting others for being afk.

These two things can't both be true.

No one has to reply to another player but we all do to GMs. No problem there.

But why do we keep seeing afk reports? Are players abusing a bug?

I'd love to know either way.

A brilliant point to make, Leone, and I do have a response.
Afk IS possible, but it requires breaking an even BIGGER rule. Autoclickers. Having one tap a skill/spell/attack icon can keep your account active enough to fool the afk kick mechanic. This is why these reports still are possible, and why they can be so helpful. If players are willing to break one rule, then another, and another, where will they stop? Better to catch them sooner rather than later. Watch them burn...

Technically, one can be afk with pets killing for that 5 mins 17 secs(to be exact ;) ), but to me that's a bit much and there is always the risk of being attacked and killed by opportunistic %&$@(and yes, I have been there, did I just say that out loud) :o Of course, in those moments, I have been idle, not grinding and unfortunately not in a safe zone either

Are we not able to grab a coffee or such without having to shut down a spawn, for example?

And by no means am I condoning Auto clicking, that's a totally separate matter.

You make a valid point, Khmer. Many of these reports may come when a player just became afk (or just glanced away), so the timer wouldn't necessarily be involved. I was mainly pointing out how it could happen over long periods of time.

PS: I dare them to interfere with me getting coffee...
