i have found the altars with the missing ring and pendant.
I also got the prisson key and when in prison room with blocked stairs and teleporter out.
where am.i told which pendant and ring i need?
I cant find any other npc.
I know which are needed from others and actualy got both. but if i click on altats nothing hapoens except the standard text about the missing pendant or ring.

You need the jade pendant(level 350 mage ammy)

And the jade ring(level 750 mage ring)

i know. i had both. couldnt do anything. made ruby penant with jade pendant (since entry to free brother from prisson shows the ruby pendant). still nothing.

Can you try again click (tap) on stairs? You should see notification like "A magical barrier is blocking the entrance....". Did you see it?
After that try again put jade items on the altars.

carrying ruby pendant. (tried with jade pendant before making the ruby one).
i visit the stairs then revisit altar.

how did people know which pendant or ring to bring?
ihave not been told that in game. i was asuming that is tge problem

u need talk one NPC at the ground stairs

only found and talked to the npc who had prison key and wanted wands. is that another npc?

are u sure u carrying jade Pendant and Jade ring?
ya that's the NPC i was Talking about. He need 2 staffs.
keep Ruby amulet with u. that one also need later.
Carry lvl 300 jade Pendant and lvl 750 jade ring in backpack.

yeah
1) have given him the staffs,
he gave me prisson key.

2) then used key to visit prison.
3) clicked on stairs.
4) had jade pendant and ring when clicking on altars.
5) when nothing happened i used jade pendant to craft ruby pendant (quest log shows ruby pendant) so jade pendant is now gone.
6)revisited altars with ruby pendant and ring.
still nothing.

my original question still stands though, how do we know which pendant or ring is needed. that guy didnot tell me when i gave him staffs, he just gave prison key.

i asume now that visiting the altar with the jade items i should have gotten a different text. but i didnt.
maybe a gm can confirm?

" You see a beautiful statue that seems to be missing a pendant" is the message that appears when u click on one altar. lt means u need bring a Jade pendant to the altar.

"You see a beautiful statue that seems to be missing a ring" is the message that appears when u click on the other altar. it means u need bring a Jade ring to the altar.

Keep the Ruby amulet . The NPC upstairs asks for Ruby amulet later.
