Tree Spawn Locations

I've noticed that when cut trees spawn, sometimes they spawn in the old spot (fine by me), other times a new tree spawns in an undesirable location, such as directly over a NPC or portal. so, may I suggest a code change which prevents new trees from spawning over these objects?

Funny, because earlier today I was looking for the portal just outside Martek's and it took me awhile to find it. Yeah, I know about where it is, but seeing a round tree that perfectly covers it is pretty much the opposite of being obvious.
That was an annoyance that lasted all of 5 or so seconds, but there have been posts with trees blocking necessary paths as well.
