I'm a level 662 mage (OK total HP and damage capability but not a tank). I need minotaur hides. my current pets include 2 Ogre Halflings and a Baby Ptery. The ogres have enough dex but are vulnerable because they have very low HP. The ptery has enough dex and decent HP, but limited damage. Obviously, I can only have 2 pets at a time.

Based on my level and class, what pets are best in my situation?

if you can find a safe, reliable spot - I'd go with high damage pets... park them behind yourself, spawn minotaur, and tank it yourself (that's my two cents anyway )

And/Or join a clan. You can share items:)

I also tend to find it easier to grind easier kills for gold, then buy the items I need.

Remember Ogre can't tank Minotaur. If u by mistake spawn minotaur on ogre then say Bye Bye to Ogre..
