Can't leave alter of doom area

I have the quest to summon the spectre wizard and lead it to Proditor. I found the necessary items and completed the summoning, but I can't get out of the room. Trying to open the door gives me a message that the barrier is gone and I can enter freely, but my character just walks in place and I stay in the room.
Needless to say, mobs still spawn. Now I'm minus a spectre wizard and still stuck in the room. I know a way out for me (see you at spawn!), so I'm really asking about try #2 when I can get materials again.

You can't get out from the door. Click the altar and you will safely move to (0,0).

No - slow typing, proofreading, correcting tpyos, more proofreading and then submitting means you beat me.

Hey, now...
I'M the one who couldn't (past tense!!) figure out how to use an alter, so it's a pretty low bar there for offering any kind of help!

So I said to my SELF, "SELF, how do I get out of this room?"
And SELF replied, "Post in the forum SELL, post in the forum. Some form of oil

So I listened to SELF and posted in the forum hoping for some form of reply.
And SELF made note that wd441
* did indeed reply with the correct answer
To which I sent SELF immediately to the alter to meditate.
