Now, it was never purchasable, nor crafted from a purchased item.
This flag was added as it had the unique quality of non-drop (that's basically what it meant).
It was made to be non-drop intentionally... at the time it was a higher level item

sooo...since all purchasable items were made that way to be non-droppable...that means unless the text file has been RECENTLY changed it should still be un- droppable

It should.
Keep in mind, the +1 and +2 variants will drop.
The regular one should not...
If your regular plate dropped, only two possibilities I can think of:
1. the "purchasable" flag was removed
2. something was being worked on at the time that caused a bug in it

You've provided the info above, hopefully one on the team has looked into the issue and figured out what happened.

unfortunately i am not the only one...i havebeen told by several people that they got drops of regular pharoah plates.

Then it sounds like:

1. a bug, or
2. and unannounced change in the game.

Either way looks like something that requires help from a GM and Compbatant.
