Time of bug: Today
Where: In the part of the quest where I need to speak with the dwarf
What: I found him, but he won't speak to me
Why: My quest log says he's the one I should speak to, and ardesia confirmed that he's the correct npc
Other comments: Perhaps this is because I did more advanced quests first? No idea.
All of my other quests in my book should not be related to this quest line.

I don't see why being further along would have an impact. I went through the full tutorial on my main account and am probably in the same general "ballpark" for quests. I did this shortly after release, but thought there was something about this. Maybe talk with the blacksmith or something? I think I found the npc finally around the crossroads on that right vertical passage though.

Just a thought, go talk to the "Blacksmith" see if he tells you to kill some orcs.
Kill 10, go back to smitty, and then go talk to the dwarf.

Like SS I did this at lvl 580+ and had no problem.

Blacksmith asked me if I was ready to craft, good idea though.
Even if it pans out to not be a bug, there's something that may not be entirely clear here, and that could be possibly rectified. After all, we don't want new players getting stuck at this part in the game

So maybe Kulgan needs to take a look see.

There's more to this than I first thought.
The tutorial itself is broken.
Perhaps, from the restart that happened earlier today.
Started a fresh account after I ran into a level 2 who said they couldn't do the quest.
What do you know - I can't either.

It is confirmed that the resent game reset may have caused problems. Something has given the tutorial quests the "for_testers" status. This will allow testers to do them but not normal players.

This is why the quest won't start for a new player and might be the cause to why the dwarf npc wont talk.

Interesting, LostKnight is not a tester.

But LostKnight did all the Tutorial quests. The message in your screenshot is the final one (so far), and it is normal to see it for non-tester characters who did all Tutorial quests.

Kulgan is right: compbatant told us the Tutorial has been fixed and will be working again from next server restart (i.e in around 11h from now)
