Last time i played about a week ago, i was doing mercinary quest, i had to kill snow dragons 350, i had about 250+ killed i believe.
I just logged on today about 1:20am, proceeded to kill snow dragons, then noticed i my quest was to kill 900 rats , didn't remember finishing the snow dragons, so i went to the rats proceeded to kill them killed around 50 an noticed quest said i still haven't killed any??
I no i haven't finished the snow dragons can someone please fix this. ....
Also on other alt godzuky i lost my quest book months ago reported to Akkilles he said he would inform gm staff,, I'm still waiting on quest book to be restored... please fix this also. ...

Just a side note - pet kills don't count toward the quest, you have to deal the finishing blow yourself.

There is something peculiar going on.
The tutorial quest is broken too.
I've reported it to the staff, and included this thread as possibly connected.

Are the mercenary quests somewhat random, or at least some alternatives when the next one is assigned? I did the snow dragons, but rats certainly weren't the next on my list... Very odd.

I've gone a few quests past snow dragons and never came across any "kill rats" mercenary quest though. I'm certainly not an expert on those though, but obviously what you describe is an issue.

Curious... did your rat counter start at 0?
Probably not, I'm guessing.
Try killing a snow dragon, and see if it increases.
It might not... but I think I've an idea on what it is.

Yes my rat counter is at 0 an stays,, i did go back to snow dragons an nothing, it still says kill 900 rats

On my archer i never had to kill rats
