Effects of Logging Out

I'm almost ready to tackle the Big Pyramid. I've visited it a few times, even picked up a quest there. However, I'll need to logout often to eliminate the mummy spawns. This got me thinking... does logging out reset switches to original position?

Nope.
The switches are on the server.
Only two things I know of can switch them.
1. The restart of the server; while most are at regular times, you get the odd one when you want it the least. I'd guess that this could turn them all back to an initial position, but I could be wrong here.
2. That would be the obvious: players
I went through it not long ago; the walkthrough was most helpful.
And I agree, that sometimes it's better to logout than to try and deal with those mummies.
At least the slow spell could help

Walkthrough was very helpful - I spent about 20 min planning my route to ONE chest. I can only hope that it works (when I finally take the plunge).

At times, you may wish to consider unequipping your staff.
Helps with switches

Yeah... Gotta watch for players, tho. I once had one use a lvl 2 acct to intentionally trap me in 750 spiders/mummies tower, just because they wanted full control of spawn in the whole thing.

All of these maps *should* have a minimum level requirement.
If it's still like that, I'd go so far as to post it as a bug.
It won't stop it completely, but it will reduce it.

Agreed. The pet shop castle is a nice place to grind because you know that it isn't going to be overrun by players below a certain level (250?).

chat_npc Our scouts say that warriors from the castle located west of here will attack us soon.
chat_npc They spawn monsters made just to kill us.
chat_me I think I can investigate that and try stop them.
chat_npc Thanks a lot. Their castle looks unapprochable, but I can tell you how to enter.

OK, I'm leaving now... but first a word from out sponsor ...
Yes, logging out is effective,
BUT not always 100% effective for reasons descried above.
EDIT: Now I KNOW Leone's post was not there when I posted
