when a clan has many buildings, sometimes is not immediate find which is damaged (unless is yellow or red)
could be possible when a building needs to be repaired have a mark on it ? (for example a !)

The message you get could also display more information like;
A clan wall is under attack by X
Or A clan castle/tower is under attack by X

I'm not in a clan, but why not have FT send a message to the Lord and Duke(s) (maybe "Clan structure(s) under attack. See Informations tab for details"). Then, post the info on the player's Informations tab.

As long as you've linked your game account to an email, then all clan members (regardless of rank) already receive an email when clan buildings are under attack.

I think they are hoping for a way to know which buildings were attacked, without having to look at the Hp of every wall and building.
