The pirate map is non-transferable between players so only a GM can help. Send a private message to GM Inbox with details and await their response:

memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=9711

Make a report to the GM Inbox

Explain what happened, when and with as much detail as you can remember. Only a GM can replace it.

I don't your doubt your word, but I have to say I'm surprised that this is is the case. It sounds like a nice money spinner for you term, and it gets Prostoy out of a hole.

However:
Why are some important quest items non transferable whilst others can be passed between player to player?

It seems to me there should be some consistency here. Either ALL quest items can be transferred, or they can't. Simple as that.

That leads to a further issue we have discussed before on this forum. Why do we need to keep quest items? For example, why do we need to continue carrying keys to open doors? They waste backpack space. It would be better if the door was classed as closed but unlocked.

I will confirm that ... something went click when reading this.

I moved some stuff from my house to an alt a long time ago, to save space in my house. This was before one could buy extra space in a house, 4 of the items:

Code: Select all

 - P: On Person - Has stuff from Rockheim:
    - 1x Pirate Map - 1x Candle
    - 1x Map of the mountain Heart - 1x Rope
They should be NON-Transferable and a one time use; then they disappear but areas still acceptable to the user any time afterwards.

Keys are a pain in the behind.
They should be identical to the doors in the East Cave - once those doors are opened by a user they are OPEN to that user for as long as he needs them, wants to go through them! There is no need for keys again, and once used - they disappear. ALL Keys should be the same!

I will go so far as to say if they are stored in someone's bag or house, it "might be" easier to duplicate them.
I'm not a programmer, nor a hacker, so I have no idea but it makes sense to my 2 neurons.

Just my 2ยข worth.

This an older quest before the addition of maps like the orge chest place that would be abused if they didn't add the non transfer feature

That's true.

What about the weisstein quest though? I might be wrong on both here, but (a) I don't believe the rope, (edit ring of protection) and candle can be transferred and (b) weisstein pre-dates pirate map quest.

I'm not sure as I've had those stuffed in the bank for over a year now, but these are definitely the prime examples of quest items sitting around long after they've been used. It would probably be equal parts amusing and chaotic watching the mess unfold if those were suddenly included in a quest now...

Well, I have mine so probably just amusing!

I question whether just having the pirate map is effective and the same for the weisstein quest as the opening of one quest is contingent upon completion of a previous one. If you glance at quest manual many have a prior requirement before you can proceed does the game disregard that if an item is present even though the NPC for the quest was never talked to and requirements met? In this case the player did complete it previously so the map should work.
