Disconnecting when receiving in-game messages.

This happens from time to time, but sometimes when a friend sends a mail message in-game, my game disconnects. It's was especially frustrating today, because when I logged back in my previously safely parked pets were now in a particularly lethal area and died (Eastern chest zone, 4,0)
Is there some issue going on with the messaging system here, I'd rather not lose pets this way again.

OUCH!!!!! Now that's not good. Easter Time Zone maybe?
I didn't see any bunny wabbits or chocolate eggs, so I suspect not. Plenty of assassins, blinking mages & southern mushys tho
I'm guessing here, but what seems likely is there may be
a conflict that is occasionally occuring where a message is sent between players, and that leads to an involuntary disconnect.
