Does MAX_HP used in the life regeneration formula described in the help include addition by Gear?

Gear does not change your HP. You can test this by removing all of your gear and checking your HP. There is no change even after removing a large portion of your overall ARM stats.
Compare that with when you level up and adding 1-2 ARM points may show your HP increase.
