The big flood

Not a big flood of the entire map (although that might be fun), but my thought is that for one week (?) every path in ft gets flooded and becomes a stream.
It would be extremely inconvenient, but what a way to rediscover your way around the game map.

It would be interesting, and why not something a little different? It would be temporary so not like any huge adjustment.
One thought I had when FT adopted a day/night cycle is that there could be opportunities for some things to take place over a set number of FT "days" as well.

Once every few weeks, the god of the water, Poseidon and the god of fire, Hephaestus, awakens and they unite their powers and they show the path of the world.
This can be a good story

I know I am dreaming but wouldn't it be cool if during these events monsters came up out of the water and lava monsters out of the fire? If it's an invasion let's make it full blown chaos!
I remember when the Great Lion was GM he made a cave at 0.0 and the mini bats were first seen. So in some areas the chaos wouldn't have to be particularly deadly just something to be dealt with. Some areas could have stronger adversaries and make it into a periodic game event.

Maybe once every few hours there can be a big boss that comes out of the water or fire, or there can be 2 bosses at a time, a fire boss and a water boss and they can drop water souls or fire souls, and there can be a new shop were you can exchange those souls for items.
