A torch that lights your path

When lighting was introduced to the game i thought it is a nice addition. But there is only the torch and the campfire that can light up a small area around the player and so i thought it would be nice if we could get better torches like the +1/2/3 tools.
They could be named the same as the tools so the second torch would be a greater torch and the third a mithril torch. But any other names would be ok or even better.
You would be able to craft the second torch in your inventory with a magic trunk at 30% crafting chance.
To set the ignite the torch you would need to visit some sort of witch or wizard.
The third torch with 3 magic trunks, 2 mithril ingots and a fiery ember with 20% crafting chance. To craft this torch you need to go to the Blacksmith or the witch.
There could even be better torches, for example a dragon heart torch or the torch of sacred fire. The better the torch is the further you can light up caves.
As a small extra idea you could equip the mithril miner helmet to light up your area.

There are already different options for players other than the torch and campfire.
One is the mithril miner's helmet ( the same one that you craft several times to try and gain entrance to Hobbs Gold Mine) and this has a considerably larger diameter than the torch.
The other is the candle that you use as part of the weisstein quest. I have to admit I've not used this though, so can't comment on its effectiveness.

I was not aware of that but the candle gives as much light as the torch and i think it would be nice if you could equip the mithril miner helmet instead of putting it in your inventory. But i still think more torches would be nice.

+++ this idea.
Wooden Torch (now in use)
Iron Torch (light +1) (equal mithrill Elmett)
Mithrill Torch (Light +2) (BIG BIG LIGHT, as XENO Torch XD)
Craft of the Pubblic Smith (map with which) (idr number map ghghghghgh)
Craft equal to tools +2 +3.

Why bother with wasting gold on torchers? The update was to bring dark not for you to remove the dark as it didn't exist.

I would enjoy the day/night if there was more of a difference other than just being dark. I realize that is what night is, but it's a game so there could be harder mobs, more xp, better drops, or who knows what.

I think different mobs at night would be a interesting change to the game. There could for example be monsters out on the surface who otherwise would only spawn in dungeons. The idea of monsters dropping different items at night is also nice.
On addition there could be a moon cycle and if the moon is full there could be an automatic spawn event like the pirate attack in Ashtown or the black knight siege on Martek's stronghold. The state of the moon could also affect the light level.

That is a great idea and would definitely fit in game wery well.

Don't the Stronghold and Vilige still get attacked? I haven't seen that in a year+

Yes - same attack but not clan-type message
