I hope 1250 weapons though don't become the next big in game money maker for high levels who can more easily acquire the ingredients to make them.

This seems to already be happening. I have seen some for sale at start. Someone tried to sell me a staff 1250 for 3 pets. I laughed at his offer and said I'd do it myself. He tried to convince me that the drops were too hard for me.

I do also question how, other than friends or sellers, a 1250 level can get a piece of ancient weapon. I think that's a 1500 level quest? Or am I wrong about that?

I didn't know it was ancient weapon piece! I say forget it!!!!! I'll slug away with my 1000+1 instead. When I checked the blacksmith a piece of weapon was not asked for to make it. I sincerely hope they rethink this change. I guess I was thinking of an ancient armor piece which are frequently dropped my mistake.

I saw a 4K mage selling "ALL 1500 gear" at map 0.0 I'm surprised that anyone can make that happen so fast after BP opens.

I can't get through the part across the bridge yet - 2 blood fairies STA'd me in:

BLINK-BLINK-BLINK-BLINK-STA

So run in collect chests - saw a few - run out with Speed Pills or with the aide of a 3|4|5K player.
As for killing them for drops - that¿s a LONG way away, they are distance fighters that come in pairs (that I saw) and I'm and in your face 1-on-1.

So Like LS said - Ask for help, go with friends.

PS:
- I have a 1250 blade, it was a gift from a 3K friend. Personally I love it!
- and a 1500+2 blade from another friend that reached 2K and got himself a MadSabre+2

A few people (including me at first) failed to notice there is a down arrow right next to the craft button. I hadn't seen that before, but basically, there's a page 2 for materials needed. 3 things on page 1, 2 more on page 2. Fortunately for me, I was lucky enough to buy a few pieces of ancient weapon at start some time ago. I thought I would need it eventually, so I made the best of the opportunity. El Menda's OP, I think, says the correct items needed.

Aha! Always follow an arrow! Same results unfortunately..it is a quite discouraging turn of events. I don't think a game that you log in for yourself to play and build up your character(s) and resources should have to rely on other players in order to finish an aspect of the game. It's not laziness at all...I have worked hard to get my characters to where they are at playing when I could. I will have to consider my options. Perhaps I am in the minority on this, so be it. But on the other side of it it is a wonderful addition to the game both the rotten catacombs and blood palace! I am very thankful for all the hard work that went into it. That all aspects do not meet my personal opinion of how it should be does not make it any less a very welcome expansion of the game! My complaints are my own but I suspect others may feel likewise.

I agree on all points.

Especially for weapons/gear, the items needed should be able to be gathered at the level of the item or lower.

I enjoy doing quests or exploring maps with friends, but don't usually like being dependent on them either.

I've been trying to knock out blood diamonds for 28 levels already. I hit with archers and ogres. Not yet. How likely are they to fall?

Very rare, as you have experienced. I've never tried to drop them from blood archers so can't comment, but I can guarantee they drop from blood ogres.
